Apple Confirms August 28 Snow Leopard Launch
Apple confirmed the rumored August 28 launch date of Mac OS X 10.6, also known as Snow Leopard. The confirmation comes from the Apple Store online which shows a ship date of August 28 for the operating system.
Interested parties can pre-order Snow Leopard with free shipping to be delivered on Friday, Ars Technica reports. The OS will cost $29 for a single user and $49 for a family pack. The new Mac Box Set for users that don’t already have Leopard retails for $169.
Snow Leopard will also arrive in Apple’s retail stores and on the shelves of authorized resellers this Friday.
