Facebook Hiring in Down Economy
In an interview with Bloomberg, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the company plans to increase its staff by as much as 50 percent this year.
It seems that in this bad economy, there are plenty of good developers and engineers out there looking for work and Facebook has the money to hire them. IT Business Edge’s Paul Mah noted last December how that aspect of the downturn could be a boon for SMBs.
Facebook doesn’t fall into the SMB category anymore because it has 1,000 employees and Zuckerberg has been trying to keep a lid on expenses.
